GO GREEN!!!!!

St. Patty's Day

St Patricks Day St. Patrick's Day started off as a Roman Catholic tradition celebrating Ireland's patron saint and observed only in Ireland.  As Irish imigrants moved to US it only gave us another reason to PAAARRRTAAAYYYY!  The green attire's origin has yet to be confirmed, but I have yet to hear any complaints. ANYWHO.....Let the partying begin.

Amore Infused

It seems as if Christmas just ended, well it did!  But there is a new gift buying, party having, red-n-white holiday party coming to town! Yep, Valentines Day! Here is a  few ideas to make the evening unforgettable.

Start the evening by creating the Amore Infused atmosphere. Celebrate your love with perfectly decorated centerpieces and a table set that shows off your Valentine’s Day theme! Place red colored stones in the bottom of one vase and accentuate with fresh red roses in the top of the vase.

Leave little notes thru out the day to set the mood for evening.
There is nothing like a " I love you" or "Rose are Red" note to set the mood.

With all the special events taking place on Valentine’s Day it is only right to end the day with a dinner befitting the occasion.

Spaghetti with Sauteed Chicken and Grape Tomatoes

This recipe was inspired by the abundance of tomatoes and basil in my garden. These grape tomatoes are so sweet and addicting. Toss them with some low carb pasta and diced chicken and you have a delicious, healthy meal in less than 20 minutes. Perfect for a busy weeknight!

                                                                Directions:

Bring a large pot of salted water to boil.
Season chicken generously with salt, pepper, oregano and basil. Heat a large skillet on high heat. When hot, spray with oil and add chicken. Cook about 3-4 minutes, until no longer pink. Remove chicken and set aside.

Add pasta and cook according to package directions. Reserve about 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.

While pasta cooks, add olive oil to skillet on high heat. Add garlic and sauté until golden brown (do not burn). Add tomatoes, salt and pepper and reduce heat to medium-low. Sauté about 4-5 minutes. When pasta is drained, add pasta to tomatoes and toss well. If pasta seems too dry, add some of the reserved pasta water. Add fresh basil and chicken and toss well. Serve and top with good grated cheese

The North Pole Party

Sooooo, its been a while since we have blogged about ANYTHING (our apologies).  But we're back and with pics to prove we've been busy....

Our favorite event (though we LOVE them all) of the holiday season was "The North Pole" party.  The host envited 10 minature guests to her home, and hired TES as the event's design team.  This party was such a blast to plan.  There are no limits with children.  They are so vibrant and full of energy and that is what was reflected in the decor we chose. (enjoy pics after the break)

Time to Give Thanks

Happy Thanksgiving to all. We are prepping our tables so we are dedicating this blog on ideas and tips on how to decorate your table!

I know many of you have been busy planning your Thanksgiving menus and that you may have totally forgotten about your Thanksgiving table and decor…until now. Never fear, We’ve put together a round-up of great decor and tablescaping ideas, many of which are easy enough to pull together at the last minute. For the others, you can get a head start on next year’s Thanksgiving!

Now who doesn't love the fall colors of reds, oranges and golds? A beautiful color combination. And when you add candles, pumpkins and gourds in the center, you have a wonderful traditional table setting.

Take it one step further and add names to leaves and use them for place cards.

Even make a buffet a focal point
also focus on a lovely centerpiece. It can add spice to a holiday dinner.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving from The Exquisite Soiree!!

My New Found Love: Inspiration Boards

With the major planning of our fabulously exquisite launch party here (at TES, Ltd) this blog post has become very relevant in our lives.  Inspiration boards  are extremely fun, therapeutic, yet shows off your creative side.  I have used inspiration boards in they past to organize my closet, set goals for myself, and (sounds silly but...) figure out what I'm looking for in terms of wearing for a major event or vacation.  Anywho, I'm sure you all get the gist.  So here's the "dealie yo"....these visual displays of your thoughts are merely random pictures cut out of magazines, printed off of a website, old newspaper article, etc etc. These pictures, thoughts you jot down, or quotes, etc. are adhered onto a canvas or poster board in a collage design.  Simple as 1, 2, 3!!!! I posted a few more inspiration boards after the break...
