GO GREEN!!!!!

St. Patty's Day

St Patricks Day St. Patrick's Day started off as a Roman Catholic tradition celebrating Ireland's patron saint and observed only in Ireland.  As Irish imigrants moved to US it only gave us another reason to PAAARRRTAAAYYYY!  The green attire's origin has yet to be confirmed, but I have yet to hear any complaints. ANYWHO.....Let the partying begin.

If you aren't up to the massive amounts of people (mostly drunks) in the downtown streets who used the "parade" as an excuse to go flood the main streets of the major city nearest you... here are a few cool ideas to throw a LUCKY bash at your own pub (house). Not only is green attire a MUST, but the greener the decor the better! Grab a bunch of green latex balloons and fill them with helium and let them float on the ceiling, the more the merrier! Gather as much green colored or green wrapped candy that you can find and display it for your partiers to enjoy. Shamrocks are a MUST..... even if they are just mylar balloons that you have floating from the floor.  Green streamers, green napkins, green cups..... Do you get the idea? Hang a chalkboard with the menu (green chalk of course).

Menu ideas:

Fish-n-Chips (wrapped in green tissue paper)
Corned Beef-n-Cabbage
Loaded Potato skins
B.Y.O.B (bring your own beer)
Bailey's Irish cream shots (choc pudding made with bailey's)
Cupcakes for dessert (vanilla frosting with a hint of green food coloring will do the trick)

......and I just made myself hungry!

You can also give St. Patrick's Day scratch-off tickets to give to each guest... in case they're feeling Lucky!
